Bathurst-Finch Community Food Bank

Bahurst-Finch Community Food Bank

North York Harvest Food Bank, Northview Heights Secondary School and the Bathurst-Finch Network are pleased to announce the opening of the new Bathurst-Finch Community Food Bank. The program supports local individuals and families with food assistance and helps to create connections with other neighbourhood resources.

Located in Northview Heights Secondary School, the Bathurst-Finch Community Food Bank offers food assistance for households that are having difficulty making ends meet. Participating households are entitled to receive a 3-day supply of food on a once-every-two-weeks basis. Food baskets usually include canned and dry goods with bread, bulk food items and perishables.

The community food bank runs on a drop-in basis Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Trained staff are available to provide information and referrals to other community services as needed. The program also works to foster community participation and action around food-related issues and it will regularly host visiting agencies, deliver workshops and run field trips for participants.
