FAQs: Bimbo Global Race Logo

What is BGR – The Bimbo Global Race by Dempster’s brings together more than 120,000 runners in 22 countries and 36 cities, taking place on the same day worldwide!

When: Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 7-1

Location: Ashbridges Bay Park

Everyone is welcome! 

  • 3K walk/run open to all levels, including families with children
  • 5K run open to all levels, offering a shorter distance for runners
  • 10K timed race for those who want to challenge themselves (timed)

What is your Impact: For every participant, Dempster’s will donate 20 slices of bread to our food bank.

What does the registration* include?

Registration includes the race kit (t-shirt, race bib), swag bag, a post-race lunch featuring Dempster’s products, and the official 2026 Global Energy Race medal.

Pick up your race pack (T-shirt, bib) before the event (date, hour and location to be confirmed)

Event schedule:

  • 7:00 a.m. EDT –  Pack Pick-Up Opens for 10K
  • 8:00 a.m. EDT – 10K Race Begins (timed)
  • 8:15 a.m. EDT – Pack Pick-Up Opens for 5K
  • 9:15 a.m. EDT – 10K Winners are Awarded
  • 9:30 a.m. EDT – Pack Pick-Up Opens for 3K
  • 9:45 a.m. EDT – 5K Run Begins
  • 10:00 a.m. EDT –  Catering Opens: food tickets are included in your pack; BBQ is only for registered participants
  • 10:30 a.m. EDT – 3K Walk/Run Begins
  • 12:00 p.m. EDT – Closing Remarks
  • 1:00 p.m. EDT – Event Ends

Food: North York Harvest Food Bank will be on-site at the Global Energy Race, collecting non-perishable food items.
