Join the Harvest Hero Virtual Food Drive

We are launching our Harvest Hero Virtual Food Drive as demand for our services is at a peak.

Show your support today by joining the Harvest Hero Virtual Food Drive! Invite your social family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours to help make a difference in the lives of those experiencing food insecurity.

The COVID-19 pandemic and its resulting slowdown of the economy has led to a sharp increase in demand for our services, with a considerable increase last year.  

Many families rely on North York Harvest to put food on the table and through out the pandemic community members have had even greater difficulties.   

Although in-person food drives are no longer feasible and we are no longer able to pick up donations, YOU CAN HELP your community by joining the Harvest Heroes and raising funds virtually!

Every $15 will provide emergency food including essential items such as canned beans, canned fish, and pasta.

Your Support:

  • helps over 2,500 community members each week, who rely on our emergency services 
  • makes it possible for us to meet the increased need in the challenging months ahead
  • provides emergency food hampers to children, who make up a third of our food bank clients
